Privacy Policy
This policy explains what CORCOTTON collects when you visit corcotton.in or place an order, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to contact us about it. It applies to this website and to the messages we send you about your orders.
It was last updated on 9 September 2026.

What we collect
We only collect what an order or an account actually needs.
- Account details — your name, mobile number and email address, given when you sign in or complete your profile.
- Delivery details — the addresses you save, including the recipient name, phone number and PIN code.
- Order history — the items, sizes, quantities and amounts, and the status of each order, shipment, return and refund.
- Payment status — which method you chose and whether a payment succeeded, failed or is still open. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or netbanking credentials; those go directly to our payment partner.
- Reviews — a rating and the words you write about an item you bought, published under your first name only.
- Support conversations — the messages you send us and our replies.
- Technical information — your IP address, browser and the pages you request, recorded in server logs so we can keep the site working and secure.
What we do not collect
- We do not store card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs or netbanking passwords at any point.
- We do not buy contact lists or profile you from data bought elsewhere.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Why we collect it
- To take, pack, ship and deliver your order, and to handle a return, replacement, exchange or refund.
- To sign you in and keep your account secure, which is why we send a one-time code to your phone or email.
- To tell you what is happening with an order — confirmation, dispatch, delivery, return and refund updates.
- To answer your questions and resolve complaints.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations, including issuing a GST invoice.
- To send you offers and news, only if you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum each partner needs to do its job, and nothing more.
- Our courier receives the recipient name, delivery address, phone number and package details so it can deliver your order and arrange a return pickup.
- Our payment gateway receives your name, contact details and the amount, and handles the payment itself. Card and UPI details are entered on their secure page, not ours.
- Our messaging providers deliver the one-time codes and order updates sent to your phone and email.
- Our media host stores the product images this site displays; it receives no customer data.
- Government authorities, where the law requires it, or a court or regulator directs us.
We do not share your information with anyone else for their own marketing.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cart between visits. Your browser also stores small preferences locally, such as a filter you last used. We do not use advertising trackers that follow you to other websites.
You can clear or block this storage in your browser settings. If you block it, signing in and checking out will not work.
Marketing messages
We only send offers and news to people who ask for them, by subscribing to our newsletter or opting in at checkout. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us to be removed. Messages about an order you have actually placed are not marketing and continue regardless.
How long we keep it
Order records, invoices and payment references are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Account and address details are kept while your account is open. Support conversations are kept while a matter is open and for a reasonable period after it is closed. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
How we protect it
- The site and all data in transit are encrypted with HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes, and staff accounts sign in separately from customers.
- Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it for their role, and privileged actions in our admin system are recorded in an audit trail.
No system can promise perfect security, but we treat any incident affecting your data seriously and will tell you, and the relevant authority, where we are required to.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong — you can also edit your profile and addresses yourself in My Account.
- Delete your account and the personal information we are not legally required to keep.
- Stop sending you marketing messages.
Write to support@corcotton.in from the email address on your account, or call us, and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
