Care Guide
Care for Your CORCOTTON Garments
Proper garment care can help preserve appearance, fit, colour, and useful life.
Because materials and constructions differ, the care label attached to the individual product is always the primary care instruction.
Washing
- Check the garment care label before washing.
- Separate light, dark, and strongly coloured garments where appropriate.
- Turn printed, embroidered, or decorated garments inside out before washing where appropriate.
- Use a mild detergent suitable for the fabric.
- Avoid excessive detergent.
- Wash at the temperature stated on the care label.
- Avoid prolonged soaking unless the care instructions permit it.
Drying
- Follow tumble-dry instructions on the individual care label.
- Where appropriate, air-drying can reduce unnecessary heat exposure.
- Reshape garments gently before drying if required.
- Avoid excessive direct sunlight for garments susceptible to colour fading.
- Do not wring garments aggressively.
Ironing
- Follow the ironing-temperature symbol on the care label.
- Iron garments inside out where appropriate.
- Avoid placing a hot iron directly over prints, graphics, embroidery, badges, or heat-sensitive trims unless explicitly permitted.
Bleach & Chemicals
Do not use bleach unless the individual care label specifically permits it. Avoid harsh chemicals or cleaning products not intended for the fabric.
Dark & Coloured Garments
Some colour release may occur during initial washes depending on the material and dye process. Wash compatible colours together and follow the care label.
Printed & Graphic Products
To help protect printed areas:
- Turn the garment inside out before washing where appropriate.
- Avoid direct high heat over the print.
- Avoid aggressive rubbing or scrubbing.
- Follow the garment's specified drying instructions.
Knitwear & Shape-Sensitive Products
Where applicable:
- Avoid stretching while wet.
- Reshape carefully after washing.
- Dry according to the product-specific care instructions.
- Store folded if hanging may distort the garment.
Stain Treatment
Treat stains as soon as reasonably possible using a method suitable for the particular fabric. Test unfamiliar cleaning products on a discreet area first. Aggressive stain removal may permanently damage colour or fabric.
Storage
Store garments clean and completely dry. Keep them in a dry environment away from excessive moisture, prolonged direct sunlight, and conditions that may cause mould, odour, or colour deterioration.
